An Artemide, Montjuic, black & white floor lamp with a long black cord and slide dimmer. Designed by structural engineer and architect Santiago Calatrava in the 1980s. This light is still sold today and retails around £1,700.
The beautifully formed slim stem is constructed from painted foamed polyurethane and the shade of white opaline methacrylate. A feature small, clear, red acetate ball connects the stem to the base of the white shade. The brightness of the light can be adjusted using the dimmer situated on the flex. A wonderful statement piece with some wear and age related marks to the stem specifically towards the base.
