1960s, vintage, mid century, square ceiling flush mount manufactured by Kaiser Leuchten in Germany. The large domed thick Murano glass shade is secured onto a sprayed gold metal fixing plate and held in place with four feature brass screw-top pins in each corner. The plate is secured to the ceiling with four screws which fit through pre-drilled holes. The wiring is hidden underneath the ceiling plate. The light is quite heavy which should be taken into account when you choose where to place it on your ceiling. The golden ceiling plate allows the light to reflect off it and can be seen through the textured glass. The hand blown clear glass Murano shade features small air bubbles and lots of organic shaped areas of amber, brown (bordering on gold) tones throughout which help to hide the bulb holders and bulbs beneath.
The light could also be used as a very large single wall light which would look particularly interesting especially in a commercial space because of the scale. The manufacturer’s label is present on the underside of the light which I have illustrated in the images.
The lamp requires three screw-in E27 bulbs which are interspersed to shed the light evenly. The light has been rewired by a professional electrician and is in full working order. The light is in very good vintage condition with some small scratches on one of the brass pins and to the lacquered metal plate which aren't visible when the glass shade is in place. The bulb holders have been sprayed to match the ceiling plate and to ensure they're not visible through the glass.
