1960s Large German floor lamp with an illuminated opaque glass shade which sits on a brass base. Manufactured by Doria Leuchten. To access the two screw in E27 bulbs a small screw holds the base to a metal plate inside the lamp which holds the bulb holders. A single screw in E27 bulb sits within the conical shade. The light switches on from a foot operated switch. The unusual original shade features a motif of coloured leaves of blues and turquoise surrounding its bottom. A brass bulb holder holds the shade and the bulb. The lamp has been rewired and is in full working order. The shade and the base all light up at once.
In good vintage condition with some small marks on the opaque base and a beautiful patina to the brass. The original shade does have some age related wear commensurate with its age mainly on one side which can be turned to face the wall but this is to be expected because it is 60 years old after all.
The lamp could also be used as a table lamp if required.
