A Pair of French Wrought Iron Outdoor Pillar Lanterns, circa 1950

A decorative pair of mid-20th-century French wrought iron pillar lanterns, each of tapered square form with clear glass panels set within arched frames, surmounted by a steeply pitched roof edged with a scalloped rim and with scrolling wrought iron finials and corner supports. The lanterns stand on shaped, scrolled bases designed for mounting on pillars or gateposts. They have retained an attractive weathered surface and patina commensurate with age.
