A classic and iconic 'Forum II' two-seater sofa designed by Robin Day for Hille. Originally designed in 1964 and later licensed and manufactured by Habitat in the early 2000s.
This version in soft and supple white leather with feature stitching and piping makes it extremely comfortable. The sofa is surrounded on three sides by two solid Ash planks supported on feature square chromed-steel legs with black plastic feet. Four round washes hide the screws which attach the frame to the legs. The sofa is well built, comfortable and compact and has a wonderful aesthetic from the back and sides especially when it's not pushed up against a wall. In total there are six white upholstered leather cushions with fabric-backs. There is also a cleverly designed large angled fabric-covered support cushion which can't be seen when the cushions are all in place that angles the back cushions forward for additional comfort.
The sofa is in very good condition with wonderful horizontal grain patterns. The polished chrome is in good condition along with the seat webbing underneath the cushions. There is one small chip to the wood on the front of one of the ash planks on the front left hand side which is illustrated in the images. I'll have this restored ahead of delivery.
